LAS VEGAS WEDDING PLANNING

With some 125,000 weddings a year, Las Vegas knows how to show its lovers
and dreamers a good time. A Vegas wedding can be a fun, spontaneous, and
yes, classy event all the way through. But in such a big and crowded city,
it would be wise to do a little advance planning for your spur-of-the-moment
wedding.
Planning A Wedding In Las Vegas
The first stop is the courthouse if you want to get your marriage legalized.
Marriage licenses cost $55.00 and are available over extended hours at
the courthouse, which is an easy walk from a downtown hotel. Parking is
difficult during the day so try to drive after 5 PM or better yet hire
a cab.
Heavy Activity In Las Vegas
 While
Las Vegas Boulevard, the strip and downtown Vegas are the heart of the
city; don’t assume they are the only nice places in town. Some fine
restaurants and chapels are out of the way, offer more affordable prices
and are less crowded. If possible arrange to stay for a business week
instead of a weekend. Hotels, chapels and restaurants in the heavy activity
areas will be more cooperative. Las Vegas is very busy on February 14th
and in the summer months, so unless you want to fight the traffic, you
might want to plan your wedding at a more convenient time.
Wedding Packages
Most chapels offer wedding packages suited to your needs, wants and budget.
Some wedding packages are luxurious and include wedding receptions, outdoor
ceremonies and Elvis impersonators. Some packages are simple and affordable
and include niceties like limousine service and professional photography.
Hotels and casinos also offer wedding packages grouped in with hotel stays
and even travel arrangements. Wedding ceremonies can last anywhere from
ten minutes to one hour depending on the chapel and desired package.
Planning A Cheap Vegas Wedding
Will the two of you be bringing your own tuxedo and wedding dress? You
can rent a wedding gown but it will cost you. Everything in Vegas costs,
from a $50.00 minister fee, to the quick and easy drive-thru ceremony
that still costs $40.00, to professional photography ($69.00 for 9 photos),
to a cheap wedding cake for about $59.00. If you’re on a budget
then buying a chapel’s wedding package might be a good idea. A simple
ceremony with the important features could cost as low as $200.00.
If you plan your trip carefully, you can cut unnecessary costs and avoid the city's congestion, thus making your Vegas wedding a stress-free and exciting event to remember.
